WASTE AWAY

The pigeons who call Wolf Lane home will have to make way for some chic, long legged birds of a different breed in the coming weeks as local fashion powerhouses Subway DC and Wasteland join forces for Wasted Days And Wasted Nights – a rocking party with a very fashionable twist. Set to take over Wolf Lane on Saturday, November 26, Wasted Days And Wasted Nights is now in its second year, and organiser Justin Locke says the upcoming installment is going to bigger and better than ever before.
“Wasted Days and Wasted Nights is essentially a promotion for both the customers of Subway DC and Wasteland,” Locke begins when asked about the event. “What we do is block off the laneway at the rear of both premises and set up cocktail bars and a light show, and there’s a special designated runway area. Both Subway DC and Wasteland conduct their own fashion shows and this year it’s complete with a light show, a bigger sound system, a raised catwalk and tiered seating.
“It’s something unique, it comes around once a year and in terms of promoting a business, I felt a lot of the promotions were quite same-y, and both of the businesses have always been keen to push the boundaries and be a bit avant garde.”
Boasting garments from the likes of Dion Lee, House Of Holland, ACNE, Marc Jacobs, Romance Was Born, Therese Rawsthorne and plenty of others, with music courtesy of People Of Paris, Wasted Days And Wasted Nights is set to go off with a very stylish bang.
Tickets are on sale now from Moshtix.
