Man Probes The Universe is what can happen when you have a shed full of toys, keyboards and computers that make a lot of noise, a fridge full of beer, a soldering iron and plenty of time on your hands. The Gizzards have plenty of these tools at their disposal when continuing The Doctor & The Robot Trilogy.

Man behind The Gizzards, Chad Jane, is a psych nurse by day and clearly brings large slices of his work home with him as he tools around his home studio. Pitch shifting is the norm during Man Probes The Universe with the fuzzed out Cornholin’ feasting on the most offensive of the sounds on display, and I Can Has Cheezburger ponders the best way to cook a cat amongst handclaps and ‘cha cha chas’.

It’s not all discordant tomfoolery though with The Robot Leaves The Laboratory catchy enough to seep into your electric daydreams. The Doctor Remembers Activating The Robot and The Doctor Goes In Search Of The Robot shows the love between man and machinery with a vulnerability rarely demonstrated since James Dean.

The Gizzards may well be the grotesquely deformed bastard pauper son of The Flaming Lips and The Magnetic Fields.
